Gregory And The Hawk

Their sweetest song, Boats and Birds, was what made me fall in love with Gregory And The Hawk. Meredith Godreau's voice is like honey, and immediately you imagine yourself under the grace of a beautiful starry night just listening to her sing.

I recommend this band to you without reservation - the perfect melange of familiar acoustic pop, with addictive parity to the likes of Regina Spektor, yet very much unique, this is talent at its most fresh. The tenderness of the lyrics is easy on the ears while the twinkling melodies are always relaxing.

For a band that started without the guidance of a manager or label and enjoyed widespread popularity, I can only see Gregory And The Hawk going up from here. The songsare suitably-titled; whereSeason Poemsounds like the leaves falling in the autumn and I'm Your Puppet is very honest and transparent. Their latest release, Moenie and Kitchi, is set to blow the New York City scene in the coming months. For a captivating lead who sold over 15,000 singles independently, you'd need no words to convince you to give this almost balletic musical creativity a try.
